Can a Scratched Windshield be Repaired?

Depending on the depth and length of the scratch most windshield repairs cannot be done correctly.  If too much surface area of a windshield is removed the optics of the auto glass will become uneven and will result in eye strain for the driver or passenger.  Buffing of auto glass isn’t a simple or quick solution and if too much heat buildup occurs the ending result is usually noticeable blemishes or even a stress crack on the windshield.
