Speedy Glass USA and DOW SkillBridge Partner to Strengthen Auto Glass Workforce

Speedy Glass USA and DOW SkillBridge Partner to Strengthen Auto Glass Workforce

The initiative addresses industry skills gap by enabling transitioning service members to join an in-demand specialized trade

St. Paul, MN, September 30, 2026 – Speedy Glass USA, a Fix Network company, is pleased to announce that they are now an official partner of the DOW SkillBridge program, which creates a clear pathway from military service to civilian employment through opportunities from industry partners.

The partnership comes at a critical time for the auto glass sector, which along with other skilled trades, is facing growing demand for specialized technicians[1].  As vehicle technology becomes more advanced, modern windshield repair and replacement now often involves enhanced ADAS systems (cameras, sensors and calibration) tied to a vehicle’s safety features, making highly focused technical training and hands-on job experience essential.

Through this new collaboration, Speedy Glass is enabling service members to bring their proven technical aptitude, adaptability and leadership experience to a technology-driven trade that offers long term career growth and progression.

Rudy Bruckner, Vice President Operations for Speedy Glass USA, commented, “We are proud to be partnering with DOW SkillBridge to provide this meaningful career opportunity that will create a new talent pipeline of highly motivated and skilled individuals for our industry. Transitioning service members will gain hands-on training together with an entry point into an in-demand skilled trade. At the same time, Speedy Glass will benefit from welcoming individuals whose leadership, adaptability and commitment to excellence are certain to make our team stronger and help us continue delivering exceptional service to our customers.”

During their last 180 days of active duty, participating service members can choose to follow either a 4-or 6-month comprehensive on-the-job training program delivered by experienced Speedy Glass professionals where they will learn auto glass repair and replacement techniques, advanced driver assistance systems calibration, customer service, safety procedures, industry best practices and more. Upon completion, service members will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role as an auto glass technician in select Speedy Glass locations and continue their professional development through advanced training and certification. As a Speedy Glass employee, they can also work towards obtaining their Auto Glass Skills Council certification, valid for three years.

Speedy Glass is dedicated to developing skilled professionals and creating workforce opportunities in the communities it serves. The DOW Skillbridge partnership reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to create meaningful career pathways for service members transitioning into the civilian workforce.
